1. Shut off main valve (indoors)

1a. Manually drain the system, by opening a hose bib or drain on the backflow preventer. (I do not have this in my system.)
2. Close 1st valve at backflow (outside but nearest to your house)

3. Unscrew 1st Test cock after 1st backflow valve.

4. Connect the fitting (where the test cock was removed).

5. Turn the compressor on, and set air pressure to 80 psi.
6. Open sprinkler valves one at a time to purge the system. Do this several times on each valve (and respective zone) to make sure water is blown out of the system.
